Adam Schwarze
Conservative Leadership
for a Stronger America

Adam Schwarze was born in St. Paul, Minnesota, in 1983 and was adopted by Joel and Deb Schwarze at six months old. He spent his youth in Bloomington, Minnesota. Like most Minnesota families, hockey dominated most of the Schwarze family’s time and resources. Hockey was Adam’s foundation for leadership and teamwork. As a young man, Adam developed a passion for service and viewed the military as a vehicle to be a part of something greater than himself. He answered the call to serve his nation during his senior year of high school following the terrorist attacks on 9/11. On Adam’s 18TH birthday in October 2001, he was sworn into the Marines as an infantryman.
After completing Marine Corps Boot Camp and the School of Infantry, Adam deployed with the 1st Marine Division for direct combat operations throughout all five combat phases of Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF). Due to his distinguished actions under enemy fire, he was awarded multiple times for valor in battle and promoted meritoriously to his next two ranks. After returning from his third deployment with the Marines, Adam received orders to serve with the Department of State at US embassies worldwide.
Serving as the Assistant Marine Detachment Commander for the American Embassy in Yerevan, Armenia, followed by the American Embassy in Bamako, Mali, allowed Adam to conduct interagency work abroad, which catalyzed Adam’s interest in international policy education. His time attached to the Department of State also allowed Adam to work with the United States Peace Corps to conduct humanitarian missions. In 2008, Adam led an interagency effort that worked to raise and deliver over 50,000 essential items of need to orphanages and schools in an impoverished region of Northwest Africa. That same year, while serving as an Assistant Detachment Commander, he was selected for early promotion to Staff Non-Commissioned Officer of Marines. That same year, he was also selected from the top 1% of the Enlisted Marine Force to join the Officer Commissioning program.
After completing the Marine Officer Candidate School, the Commandant of the Marine Corps granted Adam a release to the Navy for service as a Naval Special Warfare Officer (SEAL). He attended the Basic Underwater Demolition/SEAL (BUD/S) school and SEAL Qualification Training (SQT) classes. Adam’s lifelong ambition came to fruition in 2013 when Adam completed SEAL training to become a fully qualified Naval Special Warfare Officer.

Adam was assigned to SEAL Team Three and immediately joined his Platoon for his first special operations deployment in the Pacific Theater. During Adam’s second deployment, he commanded a Crisis Alert Force element in the Middle East. His continually demonstrated tactical and technical proficiency and operational leadership led him to be the sole selected applicant for the U.S. Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) elite undersea-focused enterprise. Since joining Naval Special Warfare Undersea in 2016, Adam repeatedly deployed to conduct sensitive and covert operations for America.
Adam is a highly decorated combat veteran with expansive international experience and a lifelong servant leader. He has been deployed nine times and traveled to over 70 countries in service to his nation. A lifelong learner and warrior scholar, Adam has earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Minnesota, a Master’s Degree from Harvard in International Relations, and completed additional coursework to receive additional Master’s Certificates in International Security and Nuclear Deterrence. Adam also holds a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from Johns Hopkins. In his 21-year career, Adam has experience working with multiple US Agencies in conducting direct action combat, intelligence, stability, peacekeeping, and humanitarian missions worldwide.
